Fashion | Clothes Haul

,

I love Button backs, especially for the summer time.

Hey.
So today i have something a little bit different for you guys! I am going to be doing a very small clothes haul from New Look. I never really think about doing hauls, however from now on whenever i buy something new i am going to share it with you all. This is also my first ever fashion related post. Yay!

So to start off with, my favourite High Street store is by far New Look, whenever i go in there i end up coming out with bags of stuff. Around 60% of my wardrobe is from New Look. I just love their products,  as well as their prices, which i believe are reasonable. Now i admit their quality isn't as good as the more expensive places such as Topshop and Zara, however, most of the stuff that i have bought from New Look has done me well.

I am actually surprised that there isn't any jewellery in this haul, because whenever i go in there i come out with a necklace! New Look necklaces are definitely the best, don't you think? I know i do. That's an idea for a post...

Anyway, lately i have been loving my chequered shirts, especially ones with red in them. Maybe it is because they remind me of the festive season, i don't know, but i have been wearing them a lot lately. So when i saw this gorgeous navy and red one, i had to get it. Some of you may be thinking why do i need more than one? I don't, but i know i will definitely get my wear out of it, so why not :) I love wearing these with just some plain denim jeans or i wear it open with some leggings and a plain dress, my favourite colour to wear with these is grey. The shirt just brightens up the outfit. This one was £17.99 but with my student discount it was cheaper. This shirt isn't particularly very thick, however with a t-shirt underneath and a coat or jacket on top it will keep me warm in these winter months. Love it, love it. Unfortunately i couldn't find this on the website for you guys, so i could provide a link.

The second item that i got is a black and white daisy printed button back top which cost £12.99. I also have a dress from New Look in this print, and i wear it all the time! I just really love floral prints all year around so i know i will get my wear out of this. I thought this top was very versatile, because i can wear it down with some jeans and a cardigan, or i could wear it up with a skirt, some heels, a nice necklace and maybe my leather jacket for nights out. Monochrome prints are very popular this season, and this one is just beautiful and simple. You can find it here.

All the Glitter | Manicure Monday

Hi guys, so I paint my nails regularly so i thought i would start a series called 'Manicure Monday'. The title is pretty explanatory, every Monday I will post some of the nails that I have worn in the previous week and what products I have used. I would like to add that I am not the best at painting my nails, and I very rarely use any sort of nail art, simply because I am shocking! But I thought it would be  nice for you guys to see what I like to use :)
y nails a lot and my nails are never without a little nail varnish, so I have decided that I will start a little series called

With that out of the way! Welcome to the first Manicure Monday! Woo.

These are the nails that I have been wearing for the last week or so! I have repainted them twice now, simply because I love them. I am one of them people who if they like something will stick to it.
These were my New Years nails, that is why they are all glittery! I love cracking out the glitter this time of year! I just love how simple they are, simplicity is my thing.

The products that I used for this manicure are actually both from New Look. The white/ silver glitter Polish called Cotton Candy is from Kelly Brooks collection and I believe was £2 ish. And the dark turquoise colour, which is BEAUTIFUL is from their Gold Giles collection. I have had this one a while, but I think I bought it for £1. What a bargain. Both of these polishes are long lasting, and extremely easy to apply. They dry quickly, and just look lovely together. The only con that I can think of, is that  the glitter polish can get a bit sticky depending on how long you leave the lid off of it.( I like to take my time when painting my nails). Other then that they are amazing!

Benefits They're Real Mascara | Friday Favourites

I have a quick review today for you guys, on something that i fear I might actually be in love with. Benefits They're Real Mascara! I have been using this for a few months now, and I don't think I will ever use another mascara again.  Or maybe just this and Maybelline The Falsies!

It is expensive, at I think £19.50 a pop, however, it is worth every penny. I don't think I have picked up my eyelash curler at all since purchasing this mascara. I don't need too, it does everything for me.
As you can see from the photo my eyes lashes look long and full of volume. This is may I add from one coat of mascara. when I want my lashes to look extra voluminous I would add another coat. But for everyday it is perfect with just one coat.

Benefit says:
"They're real! is the UK's No.1 best-selling mascara!*
They're real! lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!"

They don't lie!
Everything that they have claimed is true, it's no wonder that it is the best selling mascara. To everyone who hasn't tried this, you NEED to. You won't regret it.

My Favourite Lipsticks | Winter Edition

Hi guys!
Today I thought I would share with you my favourite lipsticks for the season. All of these lipsticks I have been reaching for a lot over the last couple of months. During the winter I seem to grab the more berry coloured lipsticks, while in the summer I love to wear my bright coral and peachy coloured lipsticks.

All of these lipsticks are beautiful! They all tick the right boxes, they are beautiful colours, they are long lasting, they have lovely textures and they are highly pigmented. I just love them all! Besides the Revlon lip butter which is extremely moisturising and creamy, all of the other lipsticks have matte/satin finishes, and surprisingly none of them are drying to your lips in any way shape or form. I do use a lip balm before I apply my lipstick so maybe that has something to do I with it, but I have never had any problems with dryness. I am going through a Matte lipstick loving stage! They are so easy, you slap it on and leave it for hours without having to worry about re applying. Ideal.

First up is my favourite red at the moment, Really Red by Revlon which has a matte finish. It reminds me of  Macs Ruby Woo, but with an orange undertone. It looks almost velvety on the lips.

Next up is Called Up by Topshop. How beautiful is the packaging? I love Topshops make up, it's luxurious but with a small price tag! You can't go wrong. This is a mulberry colour, I get endless compliments whenever I wear this colour, it looks lovely with my pale complexion.

Perpetual Flame by Mac is my favourite ever lipstick! It is one of their Pro Longwear Lipcremes, and lasts all day with one application. It's amazing. I would describe it as a lovely pinky cranberry colour. ( worst description ever! )

Red Velvet by Revlon, is a lovely dark red. Like all lip butters it is extremely creamy and moisturising, and is therefore ideal for the bitter cold, winter weather.

Next is the extremely popular 107 from Kate Moss's collection with Rimmel. I love her lipsticks and have a full review Here . This is again an extremely dark berry/plum colour.

Last but not least, and one of my favourite all time lipsticks Pom Pom by Soap and Glory. If any of you haven't tried their lipsticks you need to. Don't be put off by the £9 price tag, I was until I received this one as a gift and fell in love. This a matte pomegranate pink colour, and is extremely pigmentated. It also lasts all day! It gives Perpetual Flame a run for its money, literally!

And that is it for my favourite winter lipsticks, I hope you enjoyed this post.
What colours do you tend to go for during the winter.?

Lush Cocktail | Bathtime

I very rarely get the time to have a nice relaxing bath, so when I do, I go all out. And because I am a massive fan of lush I am always going to opt for some lush bath bombs and melts.
As it is around the festive time of year, all of the products that I have used are from their Christmas  collection. Which is my favourite by far, and I have stocked up on it enough so that I can use it throughout the year.
I thought I would show you guys what products I used/ mixed together into a massive lush cocktail! :)

Normally when I have a bath I will use three types of products in my water: a bath bomb, bath melt and a bubble bar.

For my bath bomb I decided to use my Luxury Lush Pud, which at the moment is 50% off  in all lush stores that still have Christmas stock, I know my local one still has some left. This makes it cheap and cheerful at £1.25. I like to use this before I go to bed because of its lovely, sweet and calming lavender smell. The smell also stayed on me for hours, I could still smell it when I woke up in the morning, lovely. This bath bomb has the same scent as the Twilight bath bomb which is in the permanent collection at Lush, if you fancied checking something similar out.

For my bath melt I chose Star Light, Star a Bright, which as you can see from the picture I had already used one half of previously. That's one thing that I love about lush, is that you can easily use most products more than once. The aim of lush bath melts is to melt slowly in your bath, releasing oils which help to moisturise or restore your skin. This bath melt melts slowly, releasing a blue middle which is full of  shea butter, as well as filling your bath with silver glitter, from the exterior of the melt. I love the little details that lush give to their products such as the glitter in this, as it makes your bath feel so much more luxurious. This melt smells like limes, which is very refreshing late at night, and smells delicious with the lavender from the bath bomb.

And last but not least for my bubble bar, I chose to use my Magic Wand which I have already used 3 times previously. I did not expect to get this many uses out of it, so I am impressed. Well done lush. The idea of this particular bubble bar is that you swish it around in your bath like a wand and watch it create sweet smelling bubbles. ( it does come on a stick) This smells like lushes famous Snow Fairy shower gel, which is my favourite scent! It smells like pear drops and cotton candy! Beautiful. It also turns your bath a lovely shade of pink and creates a fair amount of bubbles. I love this!

Together, these created one extremely relaxing and sweet smelling bath.

What are your favourite lush products?

My blog needs a name | Help!

So lately I have been thinking that my blog needs a name. For a while it has been called the Fashion and Beauty blog, this is because I can't think of a name!! I want it to be called something unique and quirky, however, I can't think of anything. I need your help!

If you can think of any names then please let me know. :) it would be amazing to hear what you guys have to say.

My 2014 wish list | Beauty

I thought for my first post of 2014 it would be suiting to do a post on the beauty products that I would like to buy and review during 2014. I like to read these posts, so thought I would give it a go myself.

First up is obviously a lipstick, as we all know how much I am addicted. This particular one is in the shade Pleasure Bomb, which is a lovely Matte Fuschia from Rihanna's collection RiRi hearts mac holiday, from mac. I adore mac lipsticks and have over the year 2013 built up a lovely collection of a variety of shades and finishes. However, during 2014 I am hoping to extend this collection starting with this lipstick. I have already tried to buy it, but due to its popularity it was already SOLD OUT. Not good.

Next up are two Soap and Glory products that I have had my eyes on for a while, their Sugar Crush Body Scrub and  Brush with Greatness exfoliating brush. Both of these I have been wanting for a while due to seeing fantastic reviews written by many other beauty bloggers, and I thinks it's about time that I tried them. I admit that I do slack on the whole exfoliating side of things, so these really are something that I need to get my hands on.

I love the thought of mac eyeshadows but not for the price that they are sold at. I am dedicated to my Urban Decay Naked palettes. However, two shades which I have wanted for a very long time are Woodwinked and Cranberry, both beautiful and versatile shades which I would use all year. I would love to build up a mac eyeshadow palette, but I think I will start with tiny steps and try these two first.

Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish cleanser. I don't have much to say about this, besides the fact that I need a new cleanser in my life, and this is the one that I want to try due to its popularity amongst beauty bloggers. I will update you when I have bought it and tried it.

Maybelline the Falsies mascara! Had it, loved it, need it again! The best mascara! Just waiting for my current one to run out!

Benefits Sugarbomb blush! Apparently the UKs number one selling blush! That along with the four beautiful colours in this blush has me sold. Four colours in once blush! Amazing,! I also think Benefit blushes are the best.

Last but not least, Macs Kohl eye pencil in the colour Powersurge. Which is a bronze colour with golden shimmer. Beautiful. I am a naturals girl when it comes to eyeshadow so I think that this on my waterline, or underneath my bottom lashes would compliment my eyeshadow. I also love the fact that it has golden shimmer in it.

And that is that! Just a few of my beauty wishes for 2014! I hope you enjoyed reading this, and if you have any comments on any of these products, if you have tried them before, them let me know :)

Byeeee

Happy new year!
